Frequently Asked Questions

We have several reasons! First ACTS is an acronym for "Awakening the Church Through the Spirit." We chose ACTS 29, because it represents the next chapter in the book of Acts that God is calling all of us to help write! (In case you didn't realize, there are only 28 chapters in the book of Acts!) And we added the word UNLEASHED, because that's what we need to be! We need to be unchained, set-free, UNLEASHED, and filled with the Holy Spirit's power so we can complete the work God has called us to do!

You commit to pray morning and evening for the ACTS 29 Unleashed ministry. This will be on your own time with God, not part of a designated prayer meeting with others. So pray as God leads you! 

We don't have all these details set in stone, yet. That's why we especially need your prayers! We need Holy Spirit wisdom for the many decisions that need to be made! We are praying that our first event will be on the West Coast of the United States, but we are open to different possibilities and still praying for God's leading. We hope to launch our first conference this coming  summer of 2026. 

We will be hosting in-person events, starting with locations here in the United States. We want to make this revival conference available to as many people as possible, but we don't know if we will be able to LIVE stream our meetings. 

There's a lot of talk about revival these days! And many, even in secular cultures around the world, know that something is about to happen and they don't want to miss out. But there's great danger that many, millions perhaps, will be caught up and deceived by a false revival movement! Just as God has a TRUE revival movement for these end times, the enemy is already putting into action his own very convincing counterfeit. So, how do we know the difference? 

We encourage you to look up each of the following Bible verses referenced for YOURSELF! Don't take our word for it! Open your Bible, and see what God's Word has to say!

Here's the significant differences between TRUE REVIVAL and FALSE REVIVAL: 

• A TRUE REVIVAL will align completely with Scripture. Isa. 8:20
• A FALSE REVIVAL will mingle some truth with more error. 2 Timothy 4:3
• A TRUE REVIVAL will bring confession and repentance of sin that will result in a transformed changed life and heart. The fruit of the Spirit will be seen in the life. 2 Cor. 5:17, Gal. 5:22-23
• A FALSE REVIVAL will yield lip service, but no changed life, or lasting fruit. Isa. 29:13
• A TRUE REVIVAL will crucify self and uplift Jesus, magnifying the cross. John 3:30, 1 Cor. 2:2
• A FALSE REVIVAL might have lots of fireworks and feel sensational, and they might talk about Jesus, but if you pay it attention, it's really more about performers leading a show than it is about Jesus. 1 Sam. 16:7, Psalm 115:1
• A TRUE REVIVAL will be seeking to bring people back to honor for God and full obedience to His Word, including obedience to all 10 of God's Commandments. John 14:15, 23, Mal. 3:6, Exodus 31:16, James 1:22-23
• A FALSE REVIVAL will overlook sin and minimize certain truths from God's Word that make them uncomfortable. They will follow what they want to follow, and ignore what they want to ignore. God does wink at our times of ignorance, but there is some ignorance that is purposeful, and that ignorance He cannot ignore. Matthew 5:17-19  
• A TRUE REVIVAL goes deep, past the superficial, and is based on humility and complete surrender to Jesus, not just as our Saviour, but as Master and LORD. Matt. 28:18, Phil. 2:5-11
• A FALSE REVIVAL is based on pride, tradition, incomplete surrender, and a temporary and superficial spiritual high which has no root. Because of this, after the revival is over, the participant usually falls away back to their old lifestyle. Matthew 4:6, 17
• A TRUE REVIVAL will find the believer experiencing victory, deeper growth, greater spiritual hunger, and increasing joy in life. 1 Cor. 15:57, 2 Peter 1:4, John 10:10
• A FALSE REVIVAL will focus on acceptance in your condition, perhaps lots of love and grace, but no transformation or changed life. As they like to say, "You're a mess, but that's okay! God loves messes." (REALITY, GOD DOES LOVE MESSES, but He never leaves us a mess! He wants to change us from the inside out, to heal our broken hearts, our broken homes, our broken altars of worship!) Romans 5:8, Ezekiel 36:26, Romans 6:6, Luke 5:36-37

Revival is not a one time "happy hour" experience. It's meant to a complete change of course and direction. Of course, we are all sinners saved by grace through faith (See Eph. 2:8-9). We fall short of the glory of God. We fail and sometimes we fall hard... but we get up, repent and confess our sins, and with God's help, we keep turning back to Jesus and going higher! Thankfully, we do not walk alone! Jesus will never turn away the truly humble repentant heart that cries after Him. John 6:37, Rom. 8:18-39. He walks with us, dwells within us by His Spirit, and by His stripes we are healed. His perfection becomes our own. Eph. 2:22, Col. 1:27-28
